The Camp Committee has been working hard to make sure this year’s summer camp is better than ever!
Our Mission
We transform the lives of neighborhood children by providing a safe summer haven with nourishment for body and mind. We create a community where robust engagement, fun activities, and well-balanced meals stimulate holistic growth and promote healthy living.
A Special Place
CreativKids SA is the only summer camp in the downtown San Antonio area that provides free activities, in addition to meals, for most of the summer. Our new name, CreativKids SA at Temple Beth-El, emphasizes these fun, learning activities facilitated by our counselors between meals in the educational fields of art, music, STEM, physical fitness, cooking, tennis, drama, and more.
Opportunities to Volunteer
In order to make CreativKids SA at Temple Beth-El more of a community effort, we are providing many more opportunities for Temple members to get involved. We are hopeful that the mission of this camp inspires members to come out to camp and offer support in whatever way they can. Whether it is for an hour, a day, a week, or the whole summer; we have ways for you to become involved. Adults and children, ages 12 and older, are encouraged to volunteer their time and talents. (Children under the age of 12 can volunteer with a parent.)
As a volunteer, you can help teach a class (either one you have designed or one we have designed), assist with check-in/check-out, be an extra pair of hands (and eyes) during an activity, bring a special talent to demonstrate or share, help with set-up and clean-up, or encourage our campers by participating in activities right along with them. (When they see you having fun, they want to have fun too!) If you want to get involved, we can help you find a way.
